TRIP SUMMARY

The eagle has been solid, though this time of year the weather tends to make all the calls in terms of fishing conditions. Ideally, early sun with a few clouds throughout the day seems to fish the best. Too much or too little sun can make a huge difference. Lookout for solid temperatures and consistent conditions before you make the drive to the eagle this time of year. When conditions are right, baetis and midges have been the go to meal for trout. Eggs are starting to hit but not quite like they should this time of year. Patterns that found success were: rainbow warrior #18, radiation baetis - orange #20, flash tail egg #16 and black rs2 #20.
