TRIP SUMMARY

Very productive day on the Eagle River. Fish are spread out throughout the river and feeding very heavily on midges the entire day. We stuck with nymphing most of the day but did catch some fish on dries. Size 20 $3 dip was our top nymph and size 16 Griffiths gnat was our top dry. Always remember to adjust your weight accordingly, if I’m not catching fish in a run or pool that looks fishy I’ll always add more weight before changing flies. Water is a little off color so feel free to use 4x here to land fish faster and get them released quicker. Good luck out there!
