Great day at Deckers. Fish are really feeding like it’s spring. It was a little chilly to start the day but that didn’t slow the action. We were into fish immediately and basically all day. Nymph rigs did most of the work for us. Size 20 pheasant tails and size 20 barrs emergers were our top patterns. Fish were in the riffles and deeper runs as well. There is still a ton of moss and grass so make sure your weight is adjusted correctly to not have your flies dredge the bottom and get covered with debris. In the afternoon we had a good hatch but the wind was such that it made it difficult to make a proper presentation so we went with a shallow emerger rig that did the trick. Double barr emergers fished shallow had us into fish constantly. Lots of action and lots of smiles! Good luck out there!
