TRIP SUMMARY

The Blue River has been slow as of late. However with a warmer day, you can get a solid Baetis hatch if you're lucky. 50-60 degrees and a little cloud cover is what you're looking for. This time of year my man success is from Baetis and midges. Though Mysis Shrimp are a year-round favorite in this fishery as well. Patterns we found success on were: Mayers Mini Leech - Size 14 in brown and Radiation Baetis - Size 20 in Natural (Black).
