TRIP SUMMARY

Beautiful day on the upper Colorado. Lots of fish in this section but a lot of smaller fish. We caught a bunch of 8”-12” browns and a few rainbows. Fish seemed to primarily be in the walking pace current and a little deeper water. A size 8 coffee pats was by far the most productive fly. We did catch a few on Barr’s Emergers but the pats accounted for 80% of the fish. Blue wings olives came out strong around 1:00pm but very few fish rising to them. All in all a good day on the river!
