TRIP SUMMARY

Really good day again at Deckers today. We got a later start and showed up around 11:30am for the trip letting water temps warm some. The delayed start paid off as we were on the fish immediately! Nymphing with an olive leech, pmd Barr’s Emerger and a pheasant tail stayed on the rig the entire trip. Every run resulted in multiple hook ups with the pheasant tail being our top producing fly. The pmd hatch was sparse and sporadic as we only saw a few fish rising. Fish are sitting very close to the bank right now with the flows up so walk slowly as you approach each run. A good pair of polarized glasses like the Bajio Nippers is critical here. You’ll spot several fish in shallow riffles providing great sight fishing! Good luck out there!
