It was a great day on the water with this crew. Little man was on fire! We saw a bit of a trico hatch from about 9:30 AM to 11 AM, but it's been sporadic this week. We found a couple of risers during the hatch but couldn't seal the deal with a dry fly. Nymphing was productive all day with Trico and PMD nymphs like a Hot Belly Pheasant Tail #18, Chocolate Foamback Emerger #18, and black RS2 #22. A zebra color Jujubee also got a few strikes and we got minimal action on Elk Caddis and Trico Spinners. The clouds came through in the afternoon and brought out a few PMD's but we didn't see enough of them to bring fish to the surface with any regularity so we stuck to nymphing.
