There have been a lot of varying conditions on the Arkansas recently. What I have found is nights that stay a little warmer will fish better the following day. Tuesday we saw what I would consider borderline perfect conditions for an early morning outing. The Water temp at 52 degrees in the morning (7:30 am) fished well into lunchtime, in contrast with days starting around 48 degrees have been off to a notably slower start or can simply be the beginning of a slow(er) day. Check these conditions before you go! It is the little things that make a huge difference this time of year. Water from Twin Lakes has put the Granite fishing access into the perfect spot. Best luck has come on Baetis patterns in size #18 - JuJu Baetis, Jig Frenchie, and rainbow warriors all had their spot in the lineup on Tuesday. Hoppers (Chubby yellow #12) had some strikes but very few commits. Great fishing is still to be had, get out there and try for yourself!
