TRIP SUMMARY

We had a fun day at Kemp/Breeze. We started on the Williams Fork and then fished the Colorado after lunch. The Willies was running pretty high but we plucked a couple nice ones out on nymphs. After lunch we got a few more decent fish out of the Colorado. There was good trico activity in the morning and a fair PMD hatch around mid day. A few fish were rising for the PMD’s but the top water action looked spotty so we stuck to nymphs. Worms and various PMD nymphs like pheasant tails and brown foam back emergers were our best flies. We also got a couple grabs on a black streamer. If you head that way, take plenty of bug spray. The mosquitoes are thick in spots.
