This time of year fishing can be extremely weather-dependent. The morning of the 2nd we were lucky enough to have partly cloudy skies with some healthy bug action. Small mayflies and caddis were hatching all over with a few yellow sallies in the mix as well. We got a few strikes on our hopper patterns when we ran hopper-dropper set-ups. However, our main source of success came from nymph patterns. The hot ticket was a Rainbow warrior #18, bringing a few healthy Brown Trout to the net. All things considered, it was a very successful morning on the Arkansas River!
