The Blue has seen a few noticeable changes as we come into the colder months. However, it still tends to be hit or miss as a whole. The main change is fishing doesn't seem to heat up until a bit later in the day. Cold water temperatures (42 Degrees) in the morning and colder nights have taken it a bit longer to get going in the morning. The prime feeding window now seems to be from 10:30 am and onward. Once the trout start to feed I have found success on many of my go-to patterns with one other change - they are keying in on eggs now (orange (#16)). Other patterns we found luck with were Rainbow Warriors (#18), Jig Frenchie (#18-20), Foam emerger (#22), and yet again the hopper found its' way into the rotation of successful patterns, use it as an indicator!
