TRIP SUMMARY

The middle Arkansas can be a great place to find happy fish and solitude during the early fall, with lots of public accesses we were able to fish miles of water without seeing any other anglers. Hopper dropper rigs are still the go to method for this area right now with the favorable flows in the 260 cfs range. We had fish looking up to our Chubby Chernobyl all day but the majority of the fish came on the dropper. Don't overlook the fast riffles and quicker water while making sure you have enough weight in your flies to get down quickly and you will find fish.
