TRIP SUMMARY

Very good day on the lower Colorado floating South Canyon to New Castle. Found lots of fish in the deeper faster water. Size 14 jigged, tungsten Utah Killer Bugs and size 16 shop vacs dominated the show. We fished them deep (4’-5.5’ below indicator) and the action was constant. We did fish with hopper patterns as our indicator the entire day with only one hopper eat so it appears hopper season is about done. Flouro tippet with tungsten beads gets the flies down quick and in the zone. The slightest twitch on your indicator should result in you setting the hook! Good luck out there!
