The Eagle has been producing quality fish as of late, however with minimal changes in river/weather conditions the feeding windows seem to be very specific. When trout begin to feed make sure to maximize your time with flies in the feeding zone. The edge of riffles and pocket water seem to be the sweet spots for feeding locations. Windows tend to be late morning and early evening. As I mentioned, when the trout are feeding, they’re feeding hard, all other times seem to fish notably slower. When we found feeding windows we had success on Small baetis patterns (radiation baetis - orange #18 + shotglass baetis - red #18), and the occasional Hopper eat (Morrish Hopper #12)… Hopper droppers for the win!!
