TRIP SUMMARY

Despite the heavy crowds from the holiday weekend, the Blue fished great on Saturday. Small Charlie’s Mysis in size 20 were the ticket for us. We found feeding fish in just about every spot we stopped in. The critical factor on getting a fish to eat was presenting a perfect draft free drift with just enough weight to bring our flies to the bottom. If you’re not ticking bottom with your lead, you’re not fishing. Line control and mending is critical to get a good drift so take your time making good presentations! Good luck out there!
