Good morning on the Blue in town this AM! Bit of a slow start however fishing was lights out from around 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Once that sun gets high in the sky and starts to warm that water a bit, things really start to turn on. Early on we had takes on a Zebra Midge (Red-20) and the classic Blue River fly, the Mysis Shrimp. From 10:00 AM onward it was all about the Bling Midge (24-tan) and the Barr's Flashback Baetis Emerger (22). We still had takes on Mysis Shrimp well into the late hours of morning. 4X and 5x fluorocarbon proved to be successful. Sight fishing is key with these low flows! Don't overlook any piece of water on the Blue right now, you never know where there might be a lone soldier hanging out, waiting for you to cast at it!
