This was a day where patience really paid off. These trout below the dam can be quite stubborn at times and you'll end up changing flies 30 times without a take, no matter the presentation. Be patient, stick with some tried and true flies and trust the process. Worms and leeches will help get attention followed with some small imitative midges and baetis will do the trick. It also helps when a storm kicks up a massive baetis hatch and trout start rising all around you. Be ready for some super fun dry fly action here! We got a few off of a size 20 and 22 parachute adams and had a blast doing it.
