TRIP SUMMARY

With flows out of Green Mountain Reservoir maintaining 800cfs the water in the Colorado river temps has been remaining cool. Fish have been feeding right off the banks, in deeper pools, cut banks, around structure, and foam lines.. Exactly where fish should be. Now that we are easing through August fish are honing in on hoppers, ant patterns, BWO, and red quills. There is plenty of dry fly action for the dry fly lovers out there.

Streamers action has been hit or miss based on weather conditions. I've had the best action early morning on olive, auburn, and black streamers in the medium size range.

Hot nymph flies are the frenchie, yellow perdigon, black zebras, SW worms.

Get to the put in early to avoid crowds- Will Morrison
