Fishing started out slow on the Eagle river this morning but picked up as soon as temps increased. Mid-morning we saw lots of bugs including yellow sallies, Caddis, Midges, and PMDs. Fish were found in the fast water and deeper pools. All of our fish were caught subsurface however we did see plenty of fish rising for yellow sallies.
Caution water temps on the lower Eagle towards Gypsum are approaching 68 degrees towards 2 or 3pm. I'd recommend calling it a day at 68 degrees and up to keep fish healthy and happy!
Recommended flies include: foam back emergers brown #20, black beauty #22, uv sallies #16
