TRIP SUMMARY

Great morning fishing the Eagle with a great group of guys. The action started right out the gate when we hit the water. Cold overnight temps had us fishing long deep runs with good structure early on. Fish were hooked up and landed on black Zebra Midges (20), Chocolate Thunder (20), and Barr’s Emerger (baetis-20). As the sun kicked up higher in the sky, we started to pick off fish that had moved up into the shallower riffles. By days end our top producing fly was a Jiggy Frenchie in size 20-22. Fall fishing on the Eagle is good fun right now, lots of healthy fish!
