TRIP SUMMARY

Awesome afternoon session on the Eagle! A recent bump in flows and some good afternoon sunshine made for excellent fishing! Nymphing the deeper runs with good structure proved very effective. Don't pick those flies up too quickly though! Lots of fish taking flies in the tailout of runs, right before it started to swing. Caught a few on a Zebra Midge (20-Black), San Juan Worm (Pink), and a Pat's Rubberlegs (Coffee-8). Without a doubt though, our top fly for the afternoon was a Jiggy Frenchie (18). Fish have been keyed in on this fly for quite some time now, just bump up your size with the increase in water and you should be good to go! With more water moving through the Eagle, this should make for some fun Fall fishing in the near future!
