Another epic day on the South Platte in Deckers. Fish are happy and active and there is plenty of bug life. The trico hatch is still strong, coming on around 10-1030, and giving plenty opportunities to cast at rising trout. Trail a Trico dry fly behind something small but visible, get a good clean drift, and watch them eat. If you're struggling to get that good drift, try casting downstream at risers. The rest of the day we spent nymphing with lots of baetis emergers (Barr's flashback, red JuJu's, etc.) and throwing some hopper droppers. Fish are still willing to chomp down those bigger offerings so pick something in your box that's fun and go for it.
