TRIP SUMMARY

Had an awesome day on the river with Norm and Jake celebrating Father’s Day! It’s always a great time on the water when you don’t need to change flies and put fish in the net. Early on, trout were smashing a size 18 Radiation Baetis and would continue to consistently chomp it down throughout the day. As things warmed up in the afternoon, attention turned to the dries and we got some epic eats on smaller Chubby Chernobyls. When the birds weren’t trying to fly away with them, trout were smacking them left and right, including a massive rainbow who came up from the depths and hit it hard. Super fun time to be out on the water!
