TRIP SUMMARY

Deckers, CO is a challenging place to fish. After a slow start with just a few strikes, things really picked up. There was some sporadic hatch activity (mayflies and midges), but nymphing was the most productive. Reven and Brooks had some experience, but they really upped their game and netted 3 fish each - both browns and rainbows. Brooks caught his largest fish ever...an 18-inch rainbow. Eggs and foam backs did the trick. Water clarity helped us spot a few fish for us to target and they were able to net one that way as well. Overall, a great day on the water!
