Xavier Puls and George Sinclair
We met with our clients a little later in the morning in anticipation of a slow start with the sudden drop in flows. Our prediction was correct as we saw action from fish in the first few hours of fishing but pretty slow overall. We ended up taking a lunch at about 1:30 and afterwards the fish were alive and eating actively! We had great success on a variety of imitations, including baetis, midges, leeches, worms, and Caddis. Several patterns were used of each insect. RS2’s, mercury pheasant tails, mini leeches, and jigged midges were some of the patterns used.
