Current River Flow Updates

Latest Update: 10/1/23

The Poudre is flowing at 34 CFS at the canyon mouth and 7 CFS in town. Fishing has been good on the Poudre lately. Indicator rigs in the morning on 5x are standard. Lead with an attractor such as a prince nymph, small girdle bug or san juan worm and drop a smaller mayfly pattern off the back. Barr's PMD or BWO or a sparkle wing RS2 in a #18 are all great choices. Fish have been looking up as the day warms so try a hopper dropper using a chubby or hippy stomper in a #14-16 and drop a smaller beadhead pheasant tail, perdigon or hare's ear behind it. If the fish begin rising, an extended body PMD in a #16 can be a good choice to fish behind the hopper or on its own.
