They're tied decently and catch fish for sure, with a staff pick they send you a bunch of options to fish the day you go out so that a lot of the guess work is torn out. It's also a nice way to figure out what patterns to tie for next year depending on your preferences. Im new to Fly fishing, despite flirting with it for years now, so this kind of option helps greatly with just being able to fish and build experience as well.

Used the staff pick for working the South Platte. Rigged up a double-nymph and caught some really nice fish. Good selection.

Being a relatively green fly fisherman, and having planned a trip to Colorado with only a little knowledge about the right flies for the trip, the staff picked Cheeseman Canyon flies were extremely helpful. No one knows the water like locals. Without the help, I would have been fishing flies far too large for the fish in the Canyon.
