Very impressed. Grippy soles on slippery river rocks, well put together. Fits true to size.
I'm really tough on gear and go through wading boots quickly. I've just used these for a season but they have held up well so far and I think they will last me a while. Very comfortable too. The cleats are a must IMO and as the other reviewers have noted they will set you back another $100...
In my opinion, the boot is the most important piece of fly fishing equipment you can buy. I bought a pair last summer and have worn them eight times. They are very comfortable and offer excellent support on both the bottom and sides of my feet. I haven’t experienced any hot spots and I am very happy with the quality. My only gripes are that the strings could be a bit longer and the cleats are expensive.
I've had too many foot/ankle injuries. Soft boots and slick rocks can not only end my day but end my year. I don't mess around with boots. These are nice because they are sturdy but lightweight. I can hike into and out of the canyon wader'd-up and fish all day without foot cramps. Only fished them about a year at this point but holding up strong with about 30 plus days. Two complaints: 1) they require special, and of course, more expensive cleats. 2) The lacing system isn't perfect hard to get a good tie on the first go. I tie it tight as possible and then re-tie about an hour later and I am good for the day.
