The whole line of Tacky boxes are great. The silicone anchoring technology works better than anything else I have used and the magnetic closure is strong and secure. The streamlined design means you can have a couple of these in your pack and still have plenty of space for everything else. Agree with the other reviewer that Fishpond needs to design a box for midges!

After having a mix of different fly boxes throughout the years I've finally found one I liked enough to switch all my boxes to. I just finished replacing all of my fly boxes with Tacky because they are just so simple and the silicone material works so well. They are slim in their design which means together they leave enough room for an extra box or two compared to bulkier boxes. The anchoring and pattern of the slots allows me to hold a lot of flies in such a small space as well. The magnets that hold the box together are very strong as well. It was worth the hours it took to replace and reorganize all my boxes for these.

I am slowly replacing all of my boxes with these. The Tacky insert is best in class along with the injection molded insert from Umpqua. They hold flies as well as anything that I have used before and are as durable as it gets. No fear of them stretching out like older foam boxes. Everything else about the box feels sturdy without feeling bulky or heavy. Now I just need Fishpond to make a model that incorporates a magnetic bar for midges as well.

The silicone anchoring pad is legit. It holds flies super tightly and the magnetic closure is a lot beefier than other magnetic closures I've found. Fishpond knocked it out of the park on this one.
