The first series of lines to feature the revolutionary AST PLUS slickness additive, the Amplitude series will shoot farther and last longer than any other line on the market. It’s slickness down to a science.
Built a half-size heavy, the MPX taper starts where the GPX left off. Redesigned with more mass toward the front of the head, the MPX provides the same benefits of the GPX, with an added emphasis on presentation. The power is still there, only with an added bit of finesse. Meet your new best friend.
I use the Scientific Anglers Amplitude MPX fly line for my 5wt setup. This line casts very well and delivers dry flies and nymph rigs with ease. The Amplitude fly lines are expensive but they are durable and well made. I've had mine for a year now and it still looks brand new. One more thing, I love how easily I can roll cast with this line! Great product!
Jack at Trouts up-sold me on this line. I was weary but truly enjoy it. Casts great but also is so easy to mend! MPX is a Fast track to catching fish!
The coating and weighting on this line just shoots off the rod. My casting mechanics are not as consistent as I would like them to be, this line covers up some of my flaws. SA has got something here!
I am a believer in textured fly lines. I love the way they glide through the guides. Short or long, the casting is effortless. The coating on these lines is very slick and appears to be quite durable. As someone who fishes a lot, durability is appreciated. The price is steep, but when all is said and done, your expensive fly rod is only as good as the line you’re casting.
I purchased this line over a year ago and love it. It casts smoothly and I feel as though I have great control of the line. I used it in new zealand and loved it for those delicate casts to rising trout. The line head didn't sink as so many of my other fly lines have. Great product. I would strongly recommend.
