Biggest time saver

I tie my own leaders and these rings are a huge saver. They both preserve the leader tapper and make adding light tippet a breeze. So much faster to tie on 6x with a ring than trying to blood knot it onto the leader.
Small enough to not interfere with dry fly floats. Only negative is when fishing small dries SNITs will occasionally hit the ring.
