The Fall really is the best time to be a fly-fisherman!

While the weather has been a little bit more of a variable lately, the saying 'there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear' is all it takes to get past a little chilly weather or wind (or in one case a blizzard!).

In case you missed it the other day, we are no offering our Best Of Day guided trips to help keep the season going! These 6 hour trips take place during the peak times of the day to be on the water and are going to leave countless anglers with a bend in their fly rod. We'll be out there every week taking advantage of the phenomenal late Fall (and soon to be) Winter fishing. Will you?

From a fly perspective, we've been seeing some good Blue-Winged Olive activity in the afternoon that has allowed us to ditch the bobber and throw some dry flies. Otherwise when the hatch is off, sticking with the tried and true South Platte rigs of Worms, Eggs, Baetis and small attractor nymphs has been all it takes to keep the fish coming to the net!

For now though, check out some of these awesome fish our customers have been bringing to the net lately. After that, give us a call or swing by the shop to book your very own guided fly-fishing trip! 303-733-1434
