It's hard to beat Summer in Colorado!

As evidenced by the last time a recent Guide Trip report was up on this blog, things have been pretty busy around here lately.  Our guides have been out on the water every day over the past month and as can be seen through the pictures below, the fishing has been incredible. Flows are great at Deckers, they just got bumped at the Dream Stream, the N. Fork of the South Platte still has plenty of water in it (and I just heard a report the Roberts Tunnel is scheduled to come on this week). Additionally, from an Exclusive Property perspective, the Rowdy Trout Ranch, Granby Ranch, and Willow Creek Ranch have all been fishing lights out!

Long story short, this are all music to both a guide and trout's ears.....okay, maybe just the guides if you know what I mean.

Whether it be twitching a small streamer around, throwing a hopper dropper, or sight nymphing to shallow feeding fish, it's been 'game on' on every trip lately.

From a hatch perspective we're in full swing with all the typical summertime Rocky Mountain aquatic insect life- caddis, stoneflies, PMD's, and even a few tricos are making daily appearances and most days the fish have seemed to enjoy them all. Oh, and let's not forget the hoppers. A small Chubby Chernobyl, Amy's Ant or Hippie Stomper has also been finding it's way into ALOT trouts jaws lately.

Give us a call or swing by the shop to book your very own Guided Fly Fishing trip! Whether it be a half day, full day, private water or public, wade or float trip, we've got the guides, resources and water available to meet any of your on-water goals!
