Winter/Spring: Midges, Mayflies
Summer: Mayflies, Caddis, Terrestrials
Fall: Midges, Mayflies, Caddis
The Los Pinos is most popular to fish from end end of runoff through the Fall. Matching your flies to the variety of Caddis and Mayflies that can be found throughout the different seasons will be the key to success. Terrestrial patterns are also effective from mid-summer through early fall.
Access is plentiful on the Los Pinos- especially if you don't mind putting in some miles hiking. The Weminuche Wilderness will offer the most public access.
