9wt Asquith: So Good!

Used this 9wt on a flats trip to Mexico and could not have been happier with how it performed for targeting the tarpon and snook we were after. Multiple times, we would drift a flat looking in to the mangroves for snook and looking out for cruising tarpon. This rod handled the shorter, more accurate casts into the mangroves and could bomb line the other direction at a tarpon. Expensive, but man, it is fun to fish. Plenty of backbone to handle good sized tarpon and put a stop to a snook trying to bury up in the mangroves.
