This is the best trout fishing line I've ever used. It's super smooth to cast and it is so easy to mend. I need to put this line on my other reels because I have a hard time fishing with those and always find myself using the reel that is spooled up with this line.

Great fly line and really fun to cast. Definitely worth every penny!

When I first started fly fishing, I had a mediocre rod with an even more wildly mediocre fly line. I struggled shooting my line, and was dead set that it was a bad rod. I purchased this fly line right before my birthday(when I received an Orvis Clearwater from my wife), and figured I may as well put this line on my old rod, so I could have 2 "useable" rods.

When I took the new fly line for a spin on the OLD rod, everything was different. I still find myself going to the old rod over the Orvis from time to time. Makes me want to see how much of an improvement the Elite will make on my Clearwater.

I have an older Orvis rod that came with line. After all these years I finally bought a higher quality line for my new setup, the Rio Gold 4wt. My beginner's casting was helped quite a bit with this better line. It's a smooth casting weight forward line that make's a noob's life easier when on the water. Will buy Rio Gold again.

Consistent and durable, the line never holds memory from being on the spool. It casts well and carries distance extremely well. I have fished other lines, and some way pricier but this is the Gold Standard (pun intended.)
