Q&A

Wader Care

  • SIMMS waders are all built from a durable breathable fabric. Whether that is GORE-TEX® or Toray®, the care that should be taken is the same.
  • Waders should be dried after each use, both inside and out. Simms understands that certain situations do not allow for time to fully dry between uses. It is the expectation that this circumstance will contribute to a potential shorter lifespan.
  • Breathable fabrics are porous in nature and can collect dirt, oils from the skin and other environmental substances. Regular cleaning of waders is a key contributor to their lifespan.
  • Depending on the amount of days used, annual, bi-annual or tri-annual washing is recommended.
  • Exposure to salt water or salt air requires special care: The waders must be rinsed thoroughly with fresh water and dried after each use.

Warranty & Repairs:

If your SIMMS product fails due to a defect in workmanship or materials, SIMMS will repair or replace your gear and get you back on the water as soon as possible. If your SIMMS product fails due to excessive wear, accidents involving barbed wire or campfires, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time, SIMMS will make every effort to repair your gear for a reasonable fee.

Incredibly Durable - 4+ years of ownership

Knocking on wood as we speak, but I have owned these waders for 4+ years now. Tanner helped me pick these out and he was extremely knowledgeable about the product. Summer, Winter, Fall. Outstanding price point for the quality.

Kept me dry for a season and a half

I’ve used these for nearly 2 winters, I’ll wet wade most of spring/summer. No frills waders. A seam in the crotch started to leak this season. I would get out of the river looking like the fishing was so exciting that I pissed myself (it never was). A little patch and I’m staying dry again, I’m sure there’ll be more. I’ll keep patching them till there toast and I’ll probably buy another pair.

Really great affordable wader

These are really great, simple, affordable waders. There's not much to them but I've never felt there needs to be that much to a pair of waders. They aren't super insulated so they've served me best from late Spring to early Fall. Definitely wear some layers underneath if you're going to be wading in super cold water.
