We're proud to bring a new weekly feature to the blog this season. Every week, we'll bring you a guided trip report fresh off of the water from one of our professional Fly Fishing Guides. Each week, we will feature a report that will detail the location, timing, hatch information, fly selection, and rigging. For this week's feature, here's a report from Trouts Denver Guide Tucker Bamford.
LOCATION: South Platte at Deckers
GUIDE: Tucker Bamford
LENGTH OF TRIP: Half Day Walk/Wade"
"We did decent with nymphs in the morning. I stayed after to catch the BWO hatch. This was the best hatch I’ve seen so far this year. Literally hundreds of them were floating by per minute and the fish were eating on top all afternoon. Most of the nymph-eaters were in fast water runs and riffles. A chartreuse Caddis Larva was the fly of the day."
Best Flies

Olive Overbit Baetis #20
