LOCATION: South Platte River near Deckers

LENGTH OF TRIP: Half Day

"Deckers fished pretty good today. Lots of bug activity! Pale Morning Duns (or PMD’s) are starting to show up and were the focal point all morning. Size 18 Shot Glass Emergers in PMD Did most of the damage on nymph rigs. We also caught a few fish on leeches. At about 9:00am we saw quite a few PMD’s coming off and trout immediately keying in on them. A size 18 PMD Adams fooled several fish before the hatch tapered off. The river was quite crowded for a Thursday but still great fishing to be had. Good luck!"
