Trouts Fly Fishing has long believed in the preservation and continued conservation of our natural resources given the reliance our sport has on Mother Nature. It is with this mindset that we have been keeping an eye on the progress of the Peak Ranch Resource Project on the Blue River just north of Silverthorne. In short, this is a proposed gravel mine that would be located along the Blue, and there is concern about the environmental impacts of the operation on the river and surrounding area. There is additional concern about the increased traffic that will be a result of the gravel trucks needed for this operation.
