When you think of fishy waters close to Denver, the Deckers stretch of the South Platte River certainly comes to mind. With year round accessibility it is a favorite of many anglers and is certainly one of our home waters. We all know, at times, Deckers can get a little crowded and through the summer months it certainly sees its fair share of recreators. With the crowds and the yahoos, if you walk Deckers' banks you can come across a fair amount of litter. With that in mind, we want to do our part to help the river that shows us a good time. So, like we did last November, join the Trouts crew for a cleanup mission at Deckers on Sunday, April 9th.
We will meet at the Post Office in Sedalia and caravan up to the river from there. After a couple of hours of cleanup, we will provide some riverside lunches (Dave's famous hot dogs and Lay's chips) and then hit the river to fish out the remainder of the day.
