TRIP SUMMARY

Fun day out on the South Platte despite heavy winds for a good majority of the day. Fishing started strong and right out the gate scooped a couple of nice midge eating rainbows. Bug of choice was a size 20 Bling Midge in brown. Fishing slowed a bit around mid morning and the hammering winds were peaking so we gave the fish a rest and broke for lunch. After lunch, the sun started to pop, winds subsided a bit, and it was on. The ol' reliable Foamback Emerger (20) and Mercury Bead PT (20) were both on the menu, resulting in a very strong finish to another great day on the South Platte.
