TRIP SUMMARY

Fly fishing on still water lakes / reservoirs is a great option as rivers have risen with run off this season. Antero Reservoir located approx. 2 hours from the Denver areas has been fishing very well. Plan to show up early as the wind will inevitable kick during the day.

During the day fish keyed in on Chironomid Patterns (Size 14/16) / Callibaetis Nymphs (Size 14/16) / Tan Scuds (Size 14/16) / Maroon Worms (Size 12) / Black or Gray Leeches (Size 12).

Fish are hungry and ready to eat, remember to be patient while you are fishing still water, the fish will travel in pods so do not be surprised if the bite is on for a few minutes then turns off for a while, they will be back to eat again!
