The Blue has continued to fish fairly well into the fall. They may not come as easy, but they are very willing to eat. A small bump in flows has certainly helped with the difficulties of fishing low and clear water, though this specific area remains very technical right now. Smaller tippets and smaller, natural-colored flies have been the key to success. On warmer afternoons do not shy away from small dry flies. Baetis are hot right now. Eggs are also beginning to come into play. Patterns that found success on this particular day were: Grey RS2 #20, Hi-Vis Parachute Adams #18, Champaign Flashtail egg #18, Film Critic BWO #20.
