Overall the day ended up working out, but the Arkansas is flowing! It has been steadily rising over the past few weeks but it is getting close to it's peak. Luckily we had 3 people with varying experience who were all willing to throw streamers all day. Black and olive sculpzillas were the only patterns used and they got it done. We fished from the banks, throwing the streamers into the middle of the river, letting them drift to the bank behind us and stripping up. Most takes were on the swing but we had quite a few on the retrieve up the bank as well. Slower action worked well, it seemed like anything quick would not get reactions. Dry droppers may work sporadically but streamers seem to be the best way to fish there right now. Things should calm down in a few weeks. Weather was great with only a bit of cloud cover and no rain at all.
