TRIP SUMMARY

Fantastic day at Deckers today. Despite the heavy crowds, it fished very well. Nymphing was the strategy to start the day and size 16 splatte rollers and size 16 mini leeches were steadily producing for us. We saw a few tricos flying about but very few fish rising to them. After lunch, pmd’s started to come off and size 18 Barr’s emergers were the ticket, taking several nice trout on the riffles. Once the adults started to show with consistency the trout soon keyed in and we switched to throwing dries. Size 18 sparkle duns in pmd dominated for the last two hours of the trip. All in all a very epic day with great dry fly fishing most the afternoon. Good luck out there!!!
