TRIP SUMMARY

What a day on the mighty Ark! Fishing was great today thanks to good flows, nice weather and whole lotta Caddis. Flows are starting to come down after hitting peak runoff. Hayden meadows will continue to produce throughout the summer and will only get better from here. Water clarity is excellent right now even with the higher flows. Fish are happy and sitting closer to the banks or in shallow riffles at these flows. We were able to get an epic Caddis hatch in the afternoon with hungry browns rising all over. A size 16 Elk Hair Caddis and size 20 Mole Fly were the hot flies today. Grey RS2 and a small streamer also worked when fish weren’t rising.
