TRIP SUMMARY

The Colorado River is fishing great. Trout were looking up and we were able to fish a double dry rig most of the day. A double hopper rig fished tight to the bank and along seams brought tenacious eats to the surface all day long. The fish definitely preferred the smaller sizes as we found a size 12 PMX in royal and size 12 tan chubby’s to be our most productive flies. Water temps were great all day, hovering around 60 degrees with the recent rain and cloud cover. We ended the day fishing streamers and caught several fish on black “Baby Gongas”. All in all a great day where we lost track of fish counts.
