Jason Braun and Dale Herriman
The morning started a little slow, but as the sun warmed things up, the bugs started to move. Small PMD emergers and brown foam back midges did the trick below a small foam attractor dry. In the afternoon, we switched to some small droppers (size 22 foam back midge emergers) below caddis dry fly imitations and managed to get a few quality fish in the net. We were able to get a few eats blind casting, however the vast majority of hookups came from sight-fishing to individual fish. A stealthy approach and tactics are key this time of year on the Blue due to water clarity and lower flows.
