TRIP SUMMARY

The Eagle will be falling into place shortly. Though given this trip on Friday, I would say it is not quite there yet. I was not impressed with the fishing, especially given the fact that the anglers I was with had the level of experience needed to succeed. Sometimes that is just how it goes. Give the Eagle a week or two, let it cool off a bit, and it will be right where we want it. Low and clear water is another factor to consider while the air temperatures are still getting into the 80's around that area. We need some cooler nights and cloudier days to get it where we need it. When we did have success, the flies used were: Red JuJu Baetis #18 and black RS2's during the Trico hatch.
